Your Wings Photography was born out of a love of nature and animals. It is a turning back to that which calls - back to the peace and solitude of the outdoors. Gloria has come full circle from the passion she followed early - majoring in art, then to the corporate world, and now back to that which has called her for so long.

Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, Gloria majored in art, but soon found herself in the corporate world working in accounting. After a stay in Chicago where she got involved in information systems, she moved to the Milwaukee area to slow the pace down. During her years in the business world, she spent time photographing, drawing, and painting the many facets of nature, and of course her many pets. Her true love is observing, photographing, and just taking in all of the sights and sounds of our big, beautiful world.

Gloria loves animals and the beauty of nature - the incredible designs that exist in a flower, the leaves or bark of a tree, the wings of a butterfly or dragonfly. She relishes a songbird's beautiful melody, water splashing against the stones, or the breezes as they calmly find their way through the branches of the forest or the grasses of the prairie. She will spend hours watching animals - the cat's prowess at the hunt, the beauty of a horse running in the meadow, or the playful antics of a dog.

Her camer a catches the colors that abound in nature - the sunrises, the sunsets, and trees decked out in their different seasons. Her approach to photography is from the glory of the view, the intricacies of the details, and how the whole is made beautiful by the sum of its pieces. To Gloria's eyes, it is in nature that she sees the handiwork of God.

This artist has been challenged to pursue the dreams in her heart - to find her wings. Her desire - is to show others the absolute wonder that exists all around us. Through her camera lens, she will share with you our world, wonderful pets, and incredible children - all gifts given to share.
